Body Contouring

Body Contouring

Liposuction

Liposuction, sometimes referred to as “lipo” by patients, slims and reshapes specific areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits and improving your body contours and proportion.  While not every patient is a good candidate for liposuction, it has shown results for a large number of people. We take several factors into account when evaluating patients for liposuction candidacy:

  • Skin firmness and elastiicty
  • Muscle tone
  • Smoking habits
  • Overall health

Please keep in mind, liposuction can’t cure obesity, nor can it replace healthy lifestyle habits such as proper diet and exercise.  It also doesn’t have any effect on cellulite, the dimpled skin that results when fat deposits push through the connective tissue beneath the skin.  Cellulite and loose, baggy skin cannot be treated by liposuction.

What liposuction can treat

  • Thighs
  • Hips and buttocks
  • Abdomen and waist
  • Upper arms
  • Back
  • Inner knee
  • Chest area
  • Cheeks, chin and neck
  • Calves and ankles

Tummy Tuck

Tummy tuck surgery, also known as abdominoplasty, removes excess fat and skin and, in most cases, restores weakened or separated muscles creating an abdominal profile that is smoother and firmer. A flat and well-toned abdomen is something many of us strive for through exercise and weight control. Sometimes these methods cannot achieve our goals. Even individuals of otherwise normal body weight and proportion can develop an abdomen that protrudes or is loose and sagging. The most common causes of this include:

  • Aging
  • Heredity
  • Pregnancy
  • Prior surgery
  • Significant fluctuations in weight

Coolsculpting

If you already have a healthy lifestyle with a (mostly) good diet and a (mostly) regular exercise routine, you may have already discovered an unwelcome fact about the human body: it accumulates and stores excess fatty deposits that can be nearly impossible to reduce through diet and exercise alone.  If you are frustrated by stubborn bulges, misshapen contours, and “problem areas” that just refuse to go away, CoolSculpting® offers a revolutionary new way to achieve a stunning, shapely physique!

Developed by Harvard scientists as a non-invasive, next-generation fat reduction treatment, CoolSculpting® is an FDA-approved, scalpel-free alternative to liposuction and through its revolutionary use of freezing technology offers a safer, more comfortable treatment approach than heat-based body contouring procedures.  This amazing, cutting-edge technology is an ideal treatment for individuals who are seeking to reduce excess fatty deposits around the abdomen, waist, and buttocks, especially so-called “love handles” and “muffin tops”.

Arm Lift

An arm lift, or brachioplasty, is a cosmetic surgical procedure used to achieve an improved appearance of the under portion of the upper arm. An arm lift is usually undergone to tighten and smooth the underlying tissue in the arm, reduce excess sagging skin, and reducing the localized pockets of fat in the arm. There are several factors that contribute to sagging arms including large fluctuations in weight, aging, and hereditary traits. To perform an arm lift, a surgeon will make a necessary incision generally on the back or inner side of the arm; then underlying supportive tissue is tightened and sculpted with internal sutures; and then the preexisting skin is smoothed over to match the new contour of the arm.
